How lucky are we to live in a diverse metropolitan area?
We have easy access to learning about global and indigenous cultures. There’s no end to the concerts, festivals, and organizations that expose us to sounds, tastes, and experiences so different from what we know.
But how often do we step out of our ‘routine’ to make the most of these opportunities?
There are many reasons why we don’t, but I think two are ‘I didn’t know about that!’ and ‘I don’t have anyone to go with.’
And voila! Inspiration for my latest community connection idea…FIELD TRIPS!
I’m choosing an event, date, and time - you get the ticket (if needed) and meet the group there. I’ll ALWAYS be there if I create a FIELD TRIP, so don’t worry that you’ll be the only one attending.

Let’s meet at the Phoenix Chinese Week Lunar New Year Festival at Steele Indian School Park. Admission is free!
One of our group members is volunteering at the Festival, and suggested we attend. She told us a big shift is coming as we move from the Year of the Dragon to the Year of the Snake. This change is an invitation to find your balance, trust your intuition, and foster your future with calm, patience, and wisdom.
At the Festival, enjoy continuous live entertainment, including dragon and lion dances, folk dances, musical performances, tai chi, and martial arts demonstrations. There’s lots more!
